Our flagship pale, and our most famous beer. Moonshine has been in production since way back in 1996, when our brewery led the path to America to experiment with hops never before seen in the UK. More than 20 years down the line and Moonshine is still a firm favourite across the board. Hopped with Willamette, Delta, Citra, Chinook & Centennial - this is a beautifully well balanced pale perfect for any occasion. Multi award winner and Bronze medal winning Golden Ale at the Champion Beer of Britain Awards 2018.

Cask at York Beer and Cider Festival 2022. Slightly hazy golden colour, bubbly white foam head and aroma of light citrus. Taste is malt, grain, biscuit, fruity, with citrusy, earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry bitter finish. Quite drinkable

Cask at Old Dolphin, Derby. Pours a pale greenish yellow with minimal white head. There are malts and corn in the aroma. Apples are the first flavour encountered in the mouth. Later on come floral hops on a base of caramel with hints of summer fruits and spices. Finish is dry. Quite nice, but not very exciting.

440ml can from the brewer. Pours a pale hazy gold, white head with excellent retention. Aroma is grapefruit, grain, light malts, earthy grass. Taste is grapefruit, earth, lager like grain, a hint of fruity mango. Light body and soft carbonation. This is an easy drinking light hoppy beer and I can see why it was popular regionally when it came out. It does feel a bit one dimensional now. However, it has a certain session lager quality to it but 10 times tastier than Carling so I can see why it could still be popular amongst some bar goers.
