Backlog. From cask at Kings Head, Huddersfield, on The Transpennine Real Ale Trail with KL and LH 09.05.15. Dark nutty brown. Dense and persistent beige head. Aroma of brittle, dark syrup, medium dark malt and dark chocolate.Similar, but more prominent taste, also with dried fruits, plums and nuts.

Black with creamy head. Flavour has plenty of dark malts. Slightly milky. Good flavour considering the low alcohol content.

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2014. Dark ruby red clear coloured pour with a thin lasting cream head. Aroma is roasted nuts old coffee grounds, light ash. Flavour is odd, musty malt, lightly roasted nuts, but lacklustre and a bit flat. Palate is chalky, medium full and highish carbonation.

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Very dark red with a thick smooth head. Has a light to medium roasted aroma. It’s more stated in its taste but still feel thin in its texture.
