Cask at the Old Cross Tavern, Hertford on 21st August 2025. Opaquely hazy dull yellow with shallow, dull foam and scant lacing. Pungent aroma, some yeasts. Rich tropical fruits blend in-mouth, and a finish of citrus peel amid sweet and tangy fruits. Full bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a murky golden yellow with a small scummy white head, but good lacing. Has an aroma of yeast mixed with citrus. The mouth is dominated by floral hops, but with several quite contradictory fruit flavours (varying over time), apricot, blackcurrant, peach and pineapple for starters. Not my kind of beer at all – I needed to drink a Bass afterwards to get rid of the taste !

Large white foamy head left a froth on an ultra hazy pale lemon coloured still body. Mango, pineapple & nectarine aroma. Medium bodied, sharp, clean & dry. Bitter citrus, stone fruit, kiwi fruit & sweet citrussy tastes & tangy thirst quenching finish. Deece.
