We looked to the USA west coast for this IPA style. Big flavours rule, so we use all-American citrus hops for a powerful orangey taste. Look out for floral notes too in this highly drinkable beer.

On tap. Smooth mild fruity beginning. Mild citric, hints of grain with a moderate bitterness. Nice fruity, slightly grainy but not too much citrus here.

Draught @ The Open Gate, Dublin. Aroma has grapefruit and some bush leaves. Flavour has grainy malt, some cereal and mild fruitiness. Finishes with mellow grapefruity hop bite. Clean and easy to drink but then again rather mellow and uninteresting.

Draught at Circular Bar. Light amber with a medium head. Aroma of light citrus hop. Flavour is soft citrus, light bitter grainy malt. Picks up on the palate with decent bitterness on the finish.

On draught at the Dublin airport. Clear golden-copper with sustained, fluffy head that patterns down glass. Mute citrus hop aroma. Flavor is slight fruit and a bit of caramel malt. Clean and not too bad.

Keg at stack and still. Pours clear golden, nose is toffee, grassy, taste is similar, not much fruit.

Bottle at home picked up from Crumlin Tesco. A clear mid golden orange coloured pour with a scummy greyish head. Aroma is sweaty hop, dusty malts, faint citrus peel, earthy grains. Flavour is composed of thin grains, chalky, grassy hop, citrus peel, mineral. Wishy washy stuff. Meh.
