South Frodingham, the home of our brewery, was historically known as Frothingham after the village’s main family. With a name like that, brewing was inevitable!

Cask at Birmingham Airport JDW. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt and yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, light, slightly watery, herbal, nutty, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Amber with an off-white head and a light carbonation. Brown bread, raisins and caramel. Quite a lot of caramel actually, making it a little slimy in the mouth. Full bodied though. Twiggy moderately bitter finish. A bog standard bitter, but glad to get another East Yorkshire rate.
