On cask at Cloisters. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - lemon zest and pale malt. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - solid example, if not special.

Cask at the Clarendon Arms, Cambridge. Dark gold, the tiniest bit hazy. Orange and slightly floral aroma. Nice. Taste is even better: full citrusy bittersweet with a fruity sour hint. Shades of resin, cheese, grass and caramel in the finish. I like this, it even cuts through my ’golden fatigue’.

Amber, slightly earthy caramels and a lot of fruit, not much bitterness...finishes with pale malt sweetness.

Craft Clerkenwell. Cask. Bright clear paleish gold beer. Residual white head. Palate is light and airy with modest carbonation. Fairly dry pale malt, light but grainy. Whisper of bubblegum ester, banana too. Whisper of hops, insipid citrus and super light floralness. Finishes light and dry. A dull disappointment from this brewer.

Cask at the York Tap. Pours clear pale brown with a thin white head & nice lacing. Faint light malt aromas, biscuits and some fruit. Taste has a light bitterness and a sweet finish. OK, if a bit boring.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a head. Has a thin texture but packs in enough bitter fruitiness to be enjoyed. Has a small hoppy aroma with a lingering hop aftertaste.
