Can from O’Brien’s, Athlone [290417]
Very dark amber, clear, large frothy off white head
Aroma of soft citrus lemon, slightly herbal, some caramel malt
Taste - Fairly bitter zest hops, dab of brown caramel malts, gets more bitter with the drinking
Palate - Medium carb, light to medium body, bitter zest, some bitter toasty nores. Finish is more bitter, quite aggressive
Overall - This toned version is quite a way off the standard ale. It’s quite good but not one of their best

120ml taster at Bootleggers Craft Beer Bar. Clear mahogany coloured body. Low beige head, decent lacing. Aroma of leafy hops and dark fruits. Blended taste profile of caramel and dark fruits followed by malt-fruity bitterness to the finish. Well balanced. Pleasant. (Copenhagen 10.05.2017).

Draught @ Fox & Hounds, Sønderborg. Pours hazy reddish amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, with notesnof hops and fruit and touches of yeast. Bitter, hoppy flavour with intense grassy notes and touches of malt and yeast. Hints of citrus. Lingering, bitter aftertaste. Quite reasonable.
