NEW WORLD IPA.
Our city was under attack. Bland, tasteless, mass-produced lager infiltrating every supermarket shelf. Then shone a ray of light: Everyday Hero swooped in to save his hometown. Combining drinkability with a balanced attack of citrus, floral hops and a solid honey malt backbone. No longer will our town be subjected to flavourless conglomerates, thanks to Everyday Hero. Let Everyday Hero save your everyday.
MALT: Pilsner
HOPS: Magnum, Amarillo, Citra
YEAST: American Ale

Can. Hazy golden coloured beer with a strong white head. The aroma is citrusy and yeasty with gentle hops. The flavour is reasonable hopped with a smooth gentle citrusy finish. Overall a nice smoothly hopped IPA.

Sampled from the tap at BierCab. Pours a clear straw yellow with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has earthy grass and light grains with a touch of citrus underlying. Flavor has lots of grains and grass with an earthy citrus supporting.

Can shared tree Hanks to my brother. Bit hazy pale yellow golden with fizzy white head. Dry malts, fruity hops with pineapple, mango, passionfruit. Dry wheat and oats too, gooseberries. Under medium sweet and bitter. Under medium bodied with fizzy carbonation and but dry finish.

Can from M&S. Pale gold in colour, with a thin, white, head and plenty of carbonation. Sweet, tropical fruit and white pepper aroma, with some citrus hops. Flavour had some complex fruitiness, rich malts, a touch of herbs, and dry, grassy finish. Enjoyable.

Appearance is golden and clear, with a small fizzy head. Aroma- grapefruit, pineapple, orange, pithy fruit, undertones of wheaty malt. Taste is bitter hops, orange, grapefruit and pineapple, juicy fruit. Good stuff.

One of several Amundsen IPAs, this one hopped with Magnum, Amarillo and Citra, at session strength. Thanks again Pedro for sharing the can at Bassin! Snow white, lacing, mousy, stable head on a clear, pure straw blonde-golden beer. Aroma of dried shallot and toasted onion, ‘herbes de Provençe’ from an old jar, bread crust, unripe banana, dust, old withering leek, old dry grapefruit peel. Cleanly fruity onset, green banana, slight unripe pear, fizzy carb, slick grainy and thinly white-bready body; drying, herbal-spicy bitterness, medium in strength with restrained fruity and oniony aromas retronasally, ending a bit dusty but effectively quenching. One to chug down in ‘session quantities’ indeed, but could do with both more maltiness and more hoppiness, as in this form it feels a tad thin even for a session IPA. Granted, the can was a bit too old as well and the beer must have lost both body and aroma meanwhile – so if I ever come across this one in fresh condition, I will surely re-rate it.

12 oz can from Wally's deli. Pale golden with thick, frothy head. Light grainy aroma with a tinge of hops. Taste also comes in light, more biscuity malts, grassy elements. A dry, sticky finish. Very subdued, but full of flavor.
