Who says a craft brewery can’t make a rock solid pilsner to hang your hat on after a long day on the job? We at Amundsen believe all beer styles are as good as the craftsmen behind them. In our craft pilsner you will find, malty graininess that gives way to sticky, piney, hop honey. Just begging to be drunk by the mug full. Run to the pils pairs best with air guitar and teased hair.

MALT: Pilsner, Wheat, Carafoam
HOPS: Sladek, Mandarina Bavaria
YEAST: Lager

Note: First made at the Amundsen brewpub, moved to the production brewery later on.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up via Clapton Craft online. Pours crystal clear pale gold with a small, foamy white head. It's an alright, albeit basic pils. Low sweetness, dried pale grains, a light smokey off note, some straw, lemon rind, day-old biscuits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Reasonably clean finish, more biscuity malts, lightly bitter hay, nips of grain husk. Alright.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy straw colour with an off-white head. Careful aroma of pale malt, grass and hay. The flavour is similar but with lots of cooked vegetables. Has a strange bitter flavour too. Has a slick mouth feel, medium body and a light bitterness. A little careful and not quite in balance.

Canned, at TEJA tasting. Hazy pale golden, small head. Fruity nose with citrus and honey dew. Dryish with light-medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Citrus and tropical fruits. Mid bitter finish. Modern and drinkable.

Decent plain and easy drinkable stuff. Not really interesting. Mostly malty and herbal. Balanced sweetness and bitterness. And an ok carbonation level. [Can from Mjorud]
