A delicious dark ale, made with caramel and caramalt, which gives this beer a smooth undertones of caramel and toffee.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish brown with minimal off-white head. Aroma has roasted malts and liquorice. In the mouth it is pretty sweet and quite watery, with liquorice and caramel dominating. Later on some chocolate comes through. Finish is fairly sweet. Reasonable but not wildly exciting.

Dark brown to black colored, medium tan creamy head, decent lasting and nice lacing. Aroma is mostly caramel and toffee, could be bit artificial, chocolate, some dark fruity notes, light coffee. Taste is medium+ sweet malt and caramel, toffee, plenty of caramel notes, chocolate and bit of coffee and roasted malt, medium roasty bitterness, some estery notes, bitter dry aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, creamy. Very good, I'd say Sticky Toffee Pudding done the right way :D. I bet that if it had a hype brewery behind it and wasn't sold in JDW, the rates would be soaring. (cask)

Near-opaque, very dark red-brown beer. Beige head. Taste is quite dry and malty up front but there’s some sharp, tangy fruit to follow. Not that much caramel and was expecting something richer. Nice though.
