Swing top bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque nutty amber with a huge, dense and lacing, white head with good retention. Mostly a yeasty nose, some banana notes too. Medium body, soft on the palate, heavy phenols - but dry - lots of yeast and banana accents. Dry finish with neither sweetness nor bitterness. 220326

Not sure if I've ever tasted a keller-weizen, so pretty curious as to how this could potentially surprise me. Straight out the gate, this pours a much different color than a hefeweizen, unclear amber, with a huge white head that's very stable. Scent is banana alright, but with a caramelly background. No real cloves (yet), Amber malt-like crispy, breadcrust like features. Wheat is less straight forward. Taste is full, toasty, caramelly, banana, crisp and fresh, breadcrust. Man, i actually enjoy this way more than I thought I would, not being a particular fan of hefeweize. Still not a favorite beer of mine, this one, but certainkly a lot more to my liking than I had thought. The caramelly, breadcrust, ambermalty crisp really ligts it up, though the beer remains quite sweet and ester heavy.

Caramel, banana, chocolate, wheat malt, and straw aroma. Hazy dark amber with large head. Moderately sweet caramel, banana, orange, clove, wheat malt, mildly bitter straw flavor. Good body. Good but expected more.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is malt, banana, wheat, spicy yeast, clove, notes of grain. Flavour is sweetish with a light bitterness. Body is medium. More on the Weizen side, pretty smooth one at that.

Bottle from The Beer Cave. Clear amber body with an off-white head. Fine carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of fig roll and burnt orange. Flavour of Twiglets and copper. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. Earthy and biscuity.

Bottle, 5.1%. Quite caramelly aroma with spicy malts and bubble gum notes. Cloudy amber colour. Ok off-white head. The flavour is caramelly but not as sweet as expected. Also bubble gum notes and rustic malts.

Appearance: Cloudy amber with a tall off-white frothy head good retention. Aroma: Rich esters including ripe banana, bread, slightly toasted, vegetal hop, distant clove. Taste: Medium dry, bready, estery. Banana, apples & pears, toast, a bit grassy. Not much clove. light ending hop bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium minus body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: Good.

Al naso arrivano impressioni di orzo. L'intensità olfattiva è normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il mantello birroso superiore resiste poco. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il liquido offre una visione offuscata. Il colore è ambrato. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è discreto. La forza gustativa è normale e si prolunga in modo è sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di pronta beva. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Al palato prevalgono indizi di miele, frutta secca, pane cotto di recente, erbaceo, agrumi, arancia, banana ed erbe aromatiche
