Bottle sourced from Tescos Streatham, thanks to and shared with the folks (11/09/2017) - black pour with creamy beige head. Roasted malty and hoppy with some caramel, some chocolatey malty notes, pine needles, roasted malty and hoppy into the close.

(bottle) Black coloured hue with a big and brown foamy head. Fruity hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and earthy mildly roasted malt, including shy hints of chocolate and liquorice. Mildly roasty bitter flavor with a tinge of sourness, medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slightly roast-malty and earthy taste with mildly citric and subtle piney hops; quite dry, mildly roast malty and bitter hoppy finish with a fruity and delicately piney edge. Solid. 20.VI.17

Bottle (@ local Trinkschlecht): Lterally black, presumably hazy, big and stable creamy tanned head, moderate to solid dryish roasty, coffeeish and chocolatey nose with traces of dried berries, distinctive herbal to piney hops underneath; solid dry bitter flavour, still sweet dark malty influences detectable; medium bodied, creamy MF; soft and lingering dry herbal-piney and roasty finish. Very good, fortunately more like a Dry Stout than like an IPA...

2016 catch up - This is a very, very good black IPA. And it is a proper black IPA as there is a good strong hit of hops alongside the malt. Beautiful colour and a head that lasted all the way to the bottom. A fantastic mouthfeel of malt and hops and probably the best mass produced black IPA you can get in the UK.

Bottle, 500 ml from Pivoljub. Shared with JFK10000. Pours black, creamy beige head. Hoppy aroma, fruity, citrus. roasted, malty. Bitter finish. Medium bodied. Carbonation bit high. Not bad.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear pitch black color with thick soapy light brown head and fair lacing. Aroma of pine, mild roasted malt, coffee, herbs, citrus and leather. Taste starts with mild sweet roasted malt and a bit of citrus, following is grainy, leathery and coffeeish, mouthfeel is dry and mild spicy, while finish is pleasantly bitter. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate.English malts easily makes it to the foreground...

On keg at Samuel Jones. Patchy fawn-coloured head. Spotty lacing. Pitch black body. Roasted dark malty smell with a dark fruity touch. Taste of dark chocolate, molasses and dark berry fruits, hints of sulfur. Bittersweet, marmalade-like ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant (Pub crawl with Finn in Exeter, 28.09.2016).

Black colored, medium tan creamy lasting head. Aroma is of chocolate and roasted malt, bit burnt some citrusy and fruity hoppy aroma but moderate. Taste is medium sweet malt, strong chocolate and some roasty notes, light ashy, medium- citrus notes, medium bitterness, dry dark choco finish, roasty aftertaste. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit creamy. Nice one but for a BIPA hoppy aroma could be more potent. (bottle, Pivoljub, Ljubljana)
