Beluga is a bold, roasted Russian Imperial Stout. Complex and luxurious, we get the requisite
chocolate and coffee flavours, but enriched with subtle hints of leather and dried fruits. Take
your time to savour this beer, as it needs rumination, and just might provoke deeper
contemplation.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2018. It pours opaque black with a bubbly tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, chewy, umami, liquorice, meaty, dull smoke, bonfire and tar. The taste is dry, slick, chewy, tar, burnt toast, tire fire, liquorice allsorts, smoked, charred, leathery, spicy, plenty of umami and earth with a drying and sticky finish. Medium body, low carbonation with an oily mouth feel. Soo much umami. Burnt and oily. Tough work.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, very modest fine carbonation. Sweetish dark malts balanced by some bitterish licorice. Some tangy fruits on the finish. Not bad, belies the abv for the most part.
