Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours golden yellow with a medium-sized foamy off-white head. Malts are prominent in the aroma, along with hints of bread rolls and pineapple. In the mouth it is sweet and watery but with slight underlying bitterness. Muted flavours of citrus and tropical fruits, with some fruity hops coming along later. This is reasonable enough, but somewhat band and boring.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Very light gold with a thin white head and a tint bit of lacing. Bready aroma, some hay, some lemon balm, a little soap. A little dirty. Sweetish taste, more lemon, a little waxy, some astringent bitterness in the finish. Passable beer but not exciting.

28/7/2023. Cask at the 33rd Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival. Pours clear pale golden with a small bubbly white head. Aroma of citrus, hops, straw, malt, grass. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness and body. Slightly watery, very soft carbonation. Okay.

Cask at Grahams Place, Wollaston. Pours gold with a small head. Aroma is grainy, eggy straw. Taste has grainy cereal, some straw, slightly acrid.

Half-pint, gravicask at Mumbles Ale House. Clear yellow-straw coloured body, bubbles at the surface, minimal lacing. Grain and vague notes of ripe fruity hops. Mixed taste of bread and grassy hops followed by a drying end. Well kept ale at the pub. Fair enough. (Mumbles 04.10.2018).
