One of our stalwarts and one of our launching line up back in December 2016. This beer won the accoldade of CAMRA’s Champion Beer of Cheshire in Cask and it is now time for the Tinnies to shine.
A subtly smoked porter using Beech Smoked Malt for a smooth, rich, smokiness and freshly ground Black Pepper for a touch of fire to lift the end.
This is a beer that will change and develop as it warms in the glass – one to savour.

Pigs Ear. Cask. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Light smooth palate, pretty dry, decent fine carbonation. Sweet dry dark malts, touch of candy chocolate. Cedar wood spice. Some caramel and blackberry. Light smoke and a little spice on the dry finish. Different! Lot going on here but it comes together well. Just a bit dry.

Rocky off white head on a dark brown body. Chocolate, peaty & ashtray aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a lively cloying back. Malt, burnt, smoky & chocolate tastes with a lightly hopped peppery finish. That's nice.
