Northern Hemisphere drops you into a hop field, the beer’s profound flavor like strolling under the lush canopy. This year, we picked Centennial hops at their peak, rushing the harvest into our brew kettles the very same day to make a wet hop IPA loaded with notes of citrus blossom, rose, and pine.

Bärnstensfärgad klar vätska med fingertjockt skum. Dofter av bröd, grape och tallkåda. I smaken framkommer mer av grape och tallkåda samt liten anstrykning av tobak. Maltkroppen spelar helt klart i bakgrunden.

Pours dark amber with a fluffy head. Aroma of oaky malt. Taste has mild hop bite, wet, vaguely herbal. Palate has oaky malt on the nose, tongue. Good.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Julio's Liquors. Appearance is gorgeous amber with consistent sparkle, 2-finger width foamy beige head with good retention and decent soapy lacing. Aroma is assertive caramel malt backbone with more subtle notes of citrus, hay, floral and dank earth. Taste is sweet bready malt offset by milder fruit. Palate is light side of light-to-medium with thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with tail end dry and bitter, but not unpleasantly so. Overall, was expecting a hop bonanza but either the malts were too aggressive in anticipation of the hops or the crop wasn't quite as flavorful as expected. The look is phenomenal but flavor and aroma are fairly average and the palate is a bit waifish.

Bottle, from City Hops. Pours clear reddish amber with large foamy off-white head, faint caramel-orange peel aroma, adequate carbonation, bitter resinous taste with some caramel, smooth body, long finish. Very smooth, a classic.
