Opaque brown to black colour. Moderate beige head. Watery nose. Caramel, toast as well. Light body. Sweetish malty taste. Lots of caramel. Low bitterness. Drinkable

A fantastic colour to the beer and a very attractive head. The beer however was too sweet for my tastes. The toasted malts were there, but I found the sweetness a bit overpowering.

500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve at home on 17th Aug 2016. Ruby hue to the dark brown body, tanned head. Fairly sweet and malty from the first sip, toffee and caramel like flavours and aromas. At first I thought it was a sweetened and watered down Hobgoblin, but that might be a bit unfair.

Bottle shared at home. Thanks. A nutty brown coloured pour with a loose sticky dark tan head. Aroma is mineral, nutty malts, airy malts, apple. Flavour is composed of airy malts, mineral, brown sugars, apple, thin and some plum dried fruits. Palate is thin, sugary, moderate carbonation. Meh. Sugary,

Bottle shared in Watford - thanks to Daniel. Pours clear cola brown with a frothy, beige head. The nose has a little toffee, toast. Medium sweet flavour with creamy toffee, brown bread, no bitterness. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Sweet flavour with more toffee and simple, bready malt character. Good mild. Easygoing.

Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours dark brown with minimal white head. The aroma is sweet, malt loaf, fruit cake, malt extract, caramel and brown sugar. The taste is smooth, mellow, malt loaf, caramel, treacle, malt extract and a hint of cardboard. Light body and fine carbonation. Simple malty beverage.

Bottle from the brewer’s own stand at the Witney Food Festival. Dark brown with a thin beige head. Chocolate up front; blackberry comes through. Very nice surprise considering it’s from Wychwood. Also surprising having a decent bottled mild- it’s a style I normally only think works on cask.
