Got in a trade with TheFugitive. 22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 6/26/2014. Pours slightly hazy bright orange color with a 2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel, citrus rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Good amount of smooth pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, mango, lemon zest, orange peel/rind, floral, grass, pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Outstanding complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; with a nice crisp malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth and fairly creamy/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an awesome single hopped DIPA. All around great complexity and balance of juicy citrus/tropical hops and moderate malt sweetness; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Aroma: This one has a nice resin/pine hop nose, with some tropical fruity hops too
Appearance: It pours an orange color with a creamy off-white head and some solid lace
Flavor: The taste of this beer is much the same as the nose, with a really nice hop presence to it
Palate: The body is medium-plus, it has a creamy mouthfeel, and a dry finish
Overall Impression: Found this one to be really quite enjoyable. A very nice beer. I am glad to have tried as much Pipeworks stuff as I have on various trips to Chicago, and I look forward to trying more of their stuff.

Bottle thanks to Eric. Pours a clear orange with small frothy white head. The aroma is pine, grapefruit, and citrus. Medium mouthfeel with nice pine, grapefruit and bitter finish. Very good.

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy dark orange with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, citrus and pine resin. Taste is medium bitter. Citrus and grapefruit with pine. A little caramel and lemon-wheat in there too. Light bodied with a slick and somewhat thin texture. Soft carbonation but a super long finish. Awesome overall. Definitely another pipeworks winner.

22 oz. bottle, sent from StFun (thanks Josh), pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of orangey hops, wheat, some resin and syrupy caramel malts. Flavour brings out pungent resinous hops, tropical fruits, oranges, and slightly syrupy caramel malts. Quite an astringency from the hops, yet the caramel malt is very prominent as well. Good stuff, but too heavy on the malts for me and the malt is a bit too syrupy for me. Overrated.

Batch 81. Enjoyed in a tulip. Poured a slightly cloudy orange hue with a 2 finger head. Nose is earthy with a grassy bit with nice peach and mango notes. Taste is very well rounded. Extreme bitterness. Lots of citrus. Very earthy and drinkable. Only annoying thing is the big malt presence but it is a 9.5% IPA.

Bomber thanks to Lemonhead. Pours a clear yellow color with a large white head. A massive nose of fruit, citrus some grass. Excellent flavor of rich citrus, dry, long lingering bitterness, huge resin at times. Very clean and well done. Soft palate. Very mellow but flavorful. Excellent.
