Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - dark brown with a light reddish tinge. Thin head. Nose - toffee and mustiness generally. Taste - toffee and a dirty note at the back. Palate - light bodied with a tangy texture and a dry tangy finish. Overall - not very exciting.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb and Stuu666. Pours dark brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of chocolate, light fruit. Taste is fruity, sweet. Bit dull.

Bottled. Deep brown colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is sweet malts, some syrup, mild roasted notes as well as some toffee. Flavour is toffee, mild toasted notes as well as some mild wood and ripe fruits. Mild not-too-sweet syrupy notes as well. Easy to drink, and a bit on the watery side as for the palate, but still very tasty. Great session beer.

tried at the felix holt, Nuneaton. Dark ruby colour with a tan head roasted malt caramel and stewed fruit aroma. taste a touch thin and watery.

Cask @ The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Pours dark brown, small beige head. Toffee aroma. Taste is burnt toffee, twigs, sweet malt.. smooth, nutty and drinkable. Not a bad dark mild at all.

Cask @ The Unicorn, Manchester. Extremely dark with a creamy light brown head. Includes dark malts, some roasted, which are most stated on its nose, but overall light tasting and an easy-drinking mild at 3.6%

Dark brown colored, medium- tan non lasting head. Aroma is malt, caramel, lightly roasted malt and some apples. Taste is low to medium sweet caramel, toffee, some light fruits and roasted notes. Light bodied, watery thin, soft carbonation.
