500ml bottle. Cloudy gold with small white foamy head, nice retention. Aroma is floral, light fruits and sweet malts; not bad. Taste has yeasty-doughy malts, biscuit, floral, light fruity hop, slightly drifting middle, mild tangy finish with a short bitter bite. Light to moderate body. Decent gold ale, well bottle conditioned.

Cask at Square Bottle, Chester (as Beachcomber). :Pours lemon yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma has citrus and floral hops. In the mouth it is basically sweet but fluctuations into a slight sharpness. Malts and floral hops are evident immediately, whilst later on it becomes quite bitter with citrus and grapefruit. It’s reasonable.

Clear pale gold with a frothy / creamy white head and a subtle light biscuit malt aroma, just the tiniest hint of fruit. Creamy and smooth, light biscuit malt to the fore, with a hint of grapefruit bitterness and a dry finish

Cask at the Old White Lion - East Finchley. Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma has citric hops and damp grains.light sweet flavor with leafy hops, mild astringency, more grain, some hay and husk. Light bodied, softly carbonated; not great condition. Grainy finish, some further citric hops, leaves. Poor.
