330ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with minimally late awakening, small, creamy, fading, beige head. Sweet-ish, minimally grainy, dark malty and yeasty fruity aroma, notes of treacle, dried fruit, date, fig, prune, raisin, some dark honey, very mild yeasty spicy overtones, whiffs of aniseed and ginger. Taste is very mild, sweet-ish, dark and caramel malty, yeasty fruity and minimally yeasty spicy, notes of treacle, dark honey, dried fruit, date, fig, prune, raisin, very subtle, unspecific spiciness; perfectly hidden alcohol.
Creamy texture, smooth, super soft, silky, minimally cloying palate, very fine and dense, soft, creamy carbonation.
Very round, harmonious, homogeneous, definitely more-ish, almost - if existant - a "drinkable" sipper; maybe a tad too sweet but who cares - great!
p.s.: Way better than the performance of the Norwegian Women Football Team today...

Tolles Bier!

(Bottle, 0.33 l, thanks tiong, at Arde, 20211008) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had wood, toasted malts and red wine. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, wood, red wine, vanilla, chocolate, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had red wine, malts and bitterness. A delicious brew with barrel notes.

Almost opaque dark reddish brown beer, small bubbly darkish tan head, doesn't keep you company for long. Smooth palate, mildly dry and very slightly viscous. Decent fine carbonation. A little dark chocolate in the malts a light malt cream. Fair bit of alcohol spice on this red wine ba version, more so than the white wine. Rich and slightly soft red wine, rich red berries with some dark berries underneath. Spicy finish. Good stuff but notably more fierce that the white wine version. This will stand another year for sure and probably two or three.

Bottle 330ml @ Christianssand Brygghus
Pours dark brown/black with a beige head. Aroma has notes of malt, wood, dried fruits, red wine, caramel and alcohol. Taste is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long warm, heavy wooded, dried fruity and vinous finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
