Black ale, with a thin but persistent collar of foam. Quite sour aroma, mineral oil. Distinctive sour character, with nice malt and roasted malt note; good balance. Palate in tune, mix of sourness and bitterness, pretty surprising in his balance.

The legend of 2 pint honk up John ... 2 pints of this and his puke remained spattered on the drain cover opposite the Alex, Derby, for a good 5 or 6 weeks.
Early amateur tick, March '91.
Malty, dark fruits, not great condition. Put me off the brewer for a good few years although navigated my half fine ... if not being a great experience!
