Cask-conditioned at the Clytha Arms, Gwent 11/05/09. Chestnut coloured with a lacy, off-white head. Big malty, aroma with plenty of red fruit and a hint of spicy caramel. The flavour also began with plenty of sweetness, a hint of sulphur and and a decent bitter finish. Served in excellent condition and good stuff.

Can courtesy Saxo. Bought in London. Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty not pleasent aroma. Light bitter ugly flavor. Short finish. Watery palate. Terrible bitter.

Can. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are malt, caramel, nuts and notes of fruits.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Didn’t smell like a bitter too me...Pitched way too high and notes of acedehylde. A brewing mistake. Pours with a large, hazy off-white head, and a copper body with good lace. Aroma of apples (acedehydle), candi sugar, fruity esters graham cracker, grand manier and cidery. What a mess for an english style bitter. Taste is completely different (thank god). Grainy, malty and slightly bitter. Fizzy and dry moutfeel.

Medium brown colour with light soapy head. Flavour has plenty of dry hop and gives a dry, bitter finish.

[500ml bottle from Tesco Haverfordwest] Moderate carbonation goes perfectly with the beer and gives a large, foamy white head. Darker than your average British bitter. Tastes of ribena, syrup, honey and green leaves. Easy drinking, yet with very intersting flavour combinations - I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is hops, slight metallicness and caramel. Flavour is hops, metal and some caramel malts along with some slight bittering grass.

Rich, deep bronze colour. Thin caramel head. Chewy caramel nose, slightly earthy with a vague fruitiness. Sweet, almost sticky body. Definitely plays on the stereotype of Welsh ale. Finishes sweet, but rather caramelly with an industrial metallic note.
