This classic West Coast IPA was brewed as a tribute to our late father, Greg Mills, President and Co-Founder of Four Winds Brewing. Greg loved the ocean and living on the West Coast. He was a family man who was endlessly proud of the legacy that he created with his sons. Greg is the type of beer that Greg would have enjoyed while watching another West Coast sunset. This one's for you, Dad!

Good orangey copper body and good foam, nice sweet hops on the nose with hints of mandarin orange and pine. Flavour is more piney orange, crisp and oily. Enjoyable west coast IPA, well done.

Can from Firefly, Vancouver
Gorgeous light amber colour, bright , slight haze. Not just West Coast IPA, this is an old style one; not too bad, there is some caramel and toasted cereal, but not sticky; the bitterness is bold, but the hop character is mostly herbaceous, at the limit vegetable, it could have been more piney, for example. But it's a correct example, and it's quite good.

473mL bottle, pours a clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma is full of piney hops upfront, with crisp biscuity malt, and some woody resins. Flavour is beautifully west coast, with a wonderfully woody resins, bitter piney hops, and crisp biscuity malt. Gotta love that west coast piney, the woody resins and sharp bitterness. In an age where we mostly get hipster hazy bullshit chalky yeasty IPAs, this is really a breath of fresh air. Excellent.

Re-rate: Poured from 473mL can (from Four Winds Beer Club - March - drank 3 days after receiving). Clear gold with white head. Mild pine, biscuit malt, slightly woody, feint stone fruit. Excellent. June 28, 2020 (7/3/8/3/15=3.6): Poured from 473mL can. Orangey gold with minimal white head. Mild bread malt with some nice resinous hops. Nice to have a good West Coast IPA.

Can. Golden-amber colour with a medium head. On the nose, this has a classic WC IPA pine and orange aroma, with bready malts. On the palate it is fairly bitter up front, with lots of orangey hop notes, and then it's sweeter and breadier in the finish. Fresh hops, complex malts, this is a good classic West Coast IPA. Ten years ago this would be a bit samey; today it's such a novel thing for my tastebuds. Crazy.
