Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester. Light gold and clear with a spotty loose white head. Metallic aroma, some boiled sweet. Weird taste. Sweet with some tropical fruit and touches of compost. Chalky bitterness in the finish. Medium and slightly oily body with no carbonation. Unfortunate.

Cask at Flowerpot, Derby. Pours hazy lemon yellow with a small white head and good lacing. Strangely there was definitely bacon in the aroma ! More prosaically some lemon as well. In the mouth it has a creamy texture. Flavour is grassy with lemon and hints of lime with hops taking their time to appear. Finish is slightly dry with lemon. I wasn’t too keen on this one – not sure why.

Cask @ The Abbey, Shrewsbury. Pours a straightforward golden yellow with well-presented white head. Pale malt on the nose, some lemon citrus. Overall character is of a good breezy old school citrussy lemon quencher with a dry bitter close. Not bad.
