Cask at the Fox & Hounds, Sloane Square on 28th October 2025. Clear copper with shallow, yellowy white foam and full lacing. Solid malt aroma. Malty yet bitter in-mouth with a bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel and a full body. A whole lot better than a bottled version I have tried some time ago.

Old rating from 03 Oct 15 - Tasted at the Jersey CAMARA beer festival. Pours a clear medium orange amber colour with a frothy head which leaves good lacing from a mostly lasting, off-white head. Aromas of malt, caramel and traces of fruit & nut. Tastes has light biscuit malts, with some hints of dark fruit and caramel. Leading to a creamy mouth feel with a light bitter finish. Overall a very good pint.

Veltappet (med sparkler!) fra The Wrestlers Highgate, sammen med Steven: klar kobbergylden med perfekt skum. Superb aroma og smak av engelske humler - fruktig, skogaktig, lett krydret og bare helt lekker. So smooth and creamy. I'm home, honey!

Cask på Old Brewer. Bärnstensfärgad. Knäckebröd och örter, rätt fyllig med bra balans.

October 2016: Cask 1/3 pint, gravity dispense, at the 16th Twickenham Beer & Cider Festival. Copper colour. Sourish aroma, dodgy, not in perfect nick. Tolerably hoppy flavour, but not as good as I hoped.

Drucken på cask på Bishop Gustaf. Gyllengul aningen disig med lågt skum. Dammig säd, lite jord och örtig, torr, llätt men distinkt maskrosbeska. Väldigt brittisk. Gott

(Cask, gravity, at Pikkulintu Ruttopuisto, 20240118) The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was small, white and it lasted long. Aroma had earth, grass, fruitiness and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were earth, toffee, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Tasty and balanced.
