Cask at Old Dolphin, Derby. Pours “bitter brown” with a minimal white head. There is an aroma of malts mixed with fruit. In the mouth it is sweet and fruity, with apricots. Initially it has a buttery texture which eases into caramel. Finish is bitter and fruity. A simple beer but done very well.

Cask from the Generous Briton, Loughborough. Brownish goals, clear with a small white lead. Lots of lacing. Sweet toffee, fresh.y baked bread and biscuit spread in the aroma. Sweet taste with light fruity hops balancing out the finish. Caramel syrup in the aftertaste. Simple and very traditional but a good English beer.
