Cask at Holloway Wetherspoons. Black coloured with a hint of red when held up to the light. Small beige head. Aroma is creamy malt with a bit of citrus hop. Medium bodied. Taste slightly bitter. Handpump at Euston Tap in London. Black pour with brownish highlights, ivory tick foam. Nose: American fresh hoppy notes, roast very far away. Mouth: sweet easy start, a bit roast but not unpleasant, fruity finish. Lovely! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - close to opaque black with a decent head. Nose - liquorice and charcoal. Taste - more liquorice. Imagining some dark fruits. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - more of a light dry stout than a black ipa.
