Kolor smoliście czarny, bez prześwitów. Jasno brązowa, niska piana. Topnieje średnio szybko do cienkiej warstwy i tak już pozostaje do końca degustacji. Ślicznie maluje na szkle.
Aromat słodki, czekoladowy, palony, kawowy z nutami suchych ziół i traw.
Alkohol zdradziecko ukryty. Wysycenie średnie w dół. Ciało pełne, wysokie. Tekstura przyjemnie gładka. Posmak długi wytrawny.

Slowly building up to small cream-tan head over almost black beer. Chocolate, liquorice, but also traces of hop. And there are whiffs of smoke. Smokey, stout acidity, vinous and unnamed booze of superior quality. Roast, and a malty sweetness, despite lots of coloured malts. Breadcrust and a whiff of saltiness, as from oystes. Utterly chewy & full bodied, yet good carbonation. Alcoholburn, fiery. Really great stout - down with all the milli-vanilli additions!

100ml, draught at The Market Cerveza Artesana. Tiny, beige head over a deep dark brown body, scattered lacing. Brown malty nose, nicely roasted, caramel and chocolate. Tasty with impacts of caramel-chocolate, dark bread, and a bite of prunes. Roasted mid-sweet, dark malty end. Well bodied. Likeable. (Valencia, 20.02.2024).

Bottled. A black beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and chocolate, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle from Colmado l’Estuca, Girona, 33cl, 9.5%, pours dark brown/black with a full thick fine light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, softly roasted and toasted malts, alcohol and sweet. Taste is sweet, some soft and mild toasted malts, chocolate, not a very thick beer, very tastefull after a load of crappy Spanish lagers, alcohol, weak bitterness, little sharpness probably from the alcohol, lovely smooth:slick flavors and mouthfeel, long aftertaste, context +1, lovely sipper, served at >10Degrees. Nice --- Beer merged from original tick of Poch's Basalt on 25 May 2018 at 10:09 - Score: 8
