Cask at Brasshouse, Birmingham. Clear amber with small consistent white head. Smooth, fruity with a modest bitterness although lacking in much depth. No off-notes. Not bad for a macro-bitter.

0.5 l bottle from 'REWE' (Wyk auf Föhr), best before April 2024. Clear, amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral aroma of marmalade, tea leaves, orange peel and light peach. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly fruity-floral taste of marmalade, orange peel, nettles, grains and some tea, followed by a short, gently bitter, quite dry, almost watery finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Bitter, not too aromatic, a little thin but quite drinkable.

0,5 bottle.Very nice, real English beer-like bottle and label. The current one is cleaner, nicer than the one in the picture (2023 06 27) True to its name, it is more of a light amber color, with a thick white head, which is thin, but lasts. Although it is bitter, its aroma only has a slight sweet caramel maltiness, no hops. (well, a little yes). It really has a bitter taste, i.e. resinous, herbally bitter, but also quite watery and bodyless. A classic thirst-quenching drink in the heat, but nothing more. However, at least you can enjoy a good medicinal drink from it :) Anyway, it was not a bad, classic bitter English ale.

Bottle, 3.8%. Caramelly aroma, hazelnut. Clear amber colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is fairly caramelly, hint of spicy hop. Assertive bitterness.
