This pours an opaque colour of rust with an initial huge head of foam that settles down to aboot an inch and doesn’t shrink any more than that. Lacing is pretty awesome.

The wild yeast produces some very notable aromas of Brett and only hints of tartness. Other than that, I get a wee bit of malt and hops.

The Brett is dominant and doesn’t relinquish control of this beer’s taste profile. That being said, the smallest of malt(sweet) and typical English style hoppiness peek through from time to time. I’ve had an English IPA with Brett before and I think that one was executed with a lot more finesse.

Pretty light bodied with ideal carbonation.

Decent brew but I think it isn’t much of an English IPA. It, obviously, needs more reviews...

--- Beer merged from original tick of Art Flama Ale on 25 May 2018 at 13:42 - Score: 6

12oz bottle from a farmers market in Barcelona. Pours a hazy amber with some thick, off white head. Nose is fruit, pear, apple, caramel, lemon, malt. Flavor has a distinct grainy character, malt, cracker, lemon, orange, a little soap. Clean finish. Drinkable but needs a touch more bitterness.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, at One Pint Pub, 20111111) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had hops, malts and berries. Palate was medium bodied and fizzy. Flavours were hops, berries, malts, fruitiness and medium bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Unclean and a bit faulty but not hopeless.
