Hogan’s Dry Bottled Cider is a deep gold, slightly sparkling, dry cider with a fruity aroma of traditional bitter sweet apple with spice and peaty overtones.

Hogan’s Bottled Cider is fermented from only 100% fresh pressed English cider apples. Our cider tastes so good because we do not use apple concentrate and we do not add any sugars prior to fermentation. Containing more than 85% cider apple juice our premium bottled cider is made only from fresh pressed cider fruit and precious little else. Hogan’s bottled cider brings you the authentic taste of the English orchard.

500ml bottle. Clear yellow golden colour, foamy white head which slowly dissipates away and aroma of apple, barnyard, oaky vanilla, leather. Taste is dry sourish apple, light barnyard, woody oak with vanilla, rubber & leathery notes. Slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, dry light tannic tangy finish. Quite drinkable.

50cl bottle I picked up at Perfect Pour. Pours a deep honey gold with a ring of white head. Aroma is earthy, honey comb, tart apple, apple skin, a little candy. Flavor is sweet, sweet and tart apple, a little yeast, earthy, juicy but not sticky. Clean, dry finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head, that disappears quite quickly. Aroma is sweet apples, some apples sourness, mild earthy and fruit sugary notes. Flavour is ripe apples, green apples, fruit sugars, some earth and mild wooden tartness to it. Balanced, and has a nice palate.

500ml bottle. Pours with a crystal clear yellow hue with a quick to fade white head. Aromas are sulfuric and bretty. English style dry, earthy, chimney, leather, bacon and ripe apples. Flavors are sulfury and leathery, beef jerky, meaty sulfur, bacon, light apples. Phenols and chlorophenols are distracting to say the least. Not really drinkable. Medium carbonation, off dry. Messy.

Bottle from a Tesco in Birmingham. Deep gold in colour with slight carbonation. Dry apple aroma with some citric tartness and hint of funk. Mouth puckeringly dry, without being too acidic with plenty of juice and some wood in the finish. Good.

Bottle 50 cl. Clear golden with a rough white head. Astringent aroma of apple peel and wild yeasts. Light body, a little low in carbonation, woody accents and very dry and astringent apples. A traditional British country cider without being too extreme. 150110
