A rich smooth warming Stout with hints of coffee, chocolate and Irish whiskey, a very drinkable dark beer.

Handpull cask at the Kings Head, Leicester. Very dark brown , a little translucent with an uneven khaki head. I'm getting the coffee and the sweet, creamy Irish whiskey, maybe a touch of plum on the nose. Very sweet taste, creamy with only the slightest underripe blackberry bitterness in the finish. Light body with light carbonation lifting the body. All in all a very good sessionable stout.

Cask half @ Salopian, the pub. Porus dark brown, beige head. Aroma of prominent cocoa, some espresso roast. Continues to form much of the character to taste, smooth, with a bitter roasty espresso finish. Decent.

Dark brown, near black, with a frothy tan head and coffee, chocolate and dark fruit on the nose. A little thin with dry bitterness, roasted malt, some coffee and a hint of fruity sweetness

Hand-pulled half-pint in the Salopian, Shrewsbury on 19th June 2023. Tanned head, black bodied. Coffee aroma and taste, no Whiskey notes for me, just a malty Oatmeal Stout.
