A remarkably light, crisp and hoppy alewith a hint of sauvignon. Maris Otter Pale Malt and Carapils provide a light malty base for intensely aromatic floral, citrus and gooseberry flavours of Chinook, Cascade and Nelson Sauvin hops.

Bottle courtesy of Baz (cheers Baz!) consumed at Eardisley, Herefordshire Friday 8th November 2013 Pours gold this one has a slight haze. Like the first one this is a little sweet initially. Comes across as a bit safe, but it is fine and certainly easy drinking. Despite the description this isn’t as crisp or hoppy as I would like. Its ok but the weakest of the three. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bright clear pale gold beer with a small white head. Light crisp palate. Light pale malt, touch of grain. Whisper of apple. Minerals. Hops are grassy and have noble hop like bitterness. Crisp finish. Seems a bit grainy and green, not sure this is quite right.

Bottled, thanks Boudicca! Hazy golden, rich head. Citric nose with white grapes and gooseberry. Dry and very light with crisp, firm mouthfeel. Plenty of salty, citric hops, slight buttery malt, long salty bitterness. Truly refreshing, yet flavourful.

Cask by hand pump at Rook and Gaskill, half pint shared with Finn. Hazy golden body with a lasing white layer, blanketing the glass. Aroma of pineapples and grapefruits. Taste of mild grapefruits and herbal hops. Smooth bittersweet ending. Medium to thin bodied. Nice (York, 26.01.2013).

50cl bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. A hazy amber pour with a billowing white head; intesely floral aroma with some pine and tropical fruit; light and refreshing in the mouth, with an amazingly complex taste - pinapple, grapefruit and gooseberry, barley and bread dough; and a dry, slightly spicy, bitterness before a sweet, biscuity, finish. Rather good stuff.

Cask@Catford Bridge Tavern, SE London - Gold pour with a medium white head and pleasant lacing. Light floral pineapple and grapefruit aroma and taste, hints of pine with sweet biscuit/cereal malt. Nothing amazing but pretty decent quaffable session/easy drinking ale all the same.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Islington on 14th December 2012. Gold with long lasting loose foam and lacing bands. Hoppy aroma with floral notes. Crisp grapefruit hoppiness in-mouth, evolving into a bitter finish yet still with grapefruit tang remaining. Crisp, quenching mouthfeel. Very good flavour-strength ratio.
