Bottle shared at Cotts Convention ii, thanks to Monsieur Rose, 05/03/16. Exremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is thin for the ABV, light charr, toffee, dark fruit rinds, cocoa powder. Taste comprises chocolate, toffee, roast malt, light spice. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok drinkable number but ultimately lacks depth for the ABV/style.

Bottle shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Cheers! Pours clear brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose holds brown bread and toasted caramel. Medium sweet flavour with notes of doughy brown bread, toffee, dates. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary finish, with further simple toasty-bready malts, caramel. Easygoing stuff.

Bottle thanks to Mr Pink at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. It pours deep brown with a medium off-white head. The aroma is bitter – sweet, earthy roasted malt, dried fruits and brown bread. The taste is sweet roasted malts, oily, dark fruits, touch of jam, slight sticky, treacle and brown bread. Medium + body and moderate carbonation. A touch sweet and sticky and lacking in much depth. So-so.
