Our original (and most popular) beer! Sleck Dust is a straw-coloured, easy-drinking session ale. There’s a unique floral edge here that you won’t find in most beers, coming directly from a precise, closely guarded blend of Pilgrim and Northern Brewer hops.

500ml Bottle: BBD end of Jan 14. Poured into a UK pint sleeve during preparing a Sunday lunch in my hot kitchen: if found ’Sleck Dust’ an idea thirst quencher in every sense. Light amber/golden body with an off-white head that started thin and fell away a bit too swiftly for my liking. Mild citrus notes in a fruity and floral hop nose. Nicely balanced taste: hop bitterness with a citrus bent blend well with the semi-sweet malts to give a pleasant refreshing easy drinking session ale. My first beer from these guys: I’ve got two more different bottles to try, looking forward to them.

Medium offwhite head doesn’t last. Clear amber body with light carbonation. Herbal caramelly old books aroma with resiny papery notes. Resiny papery taste with herbal gooseberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly fizzy mouthfeel. Dry grape and gooseberry aftertaste with resiny caramelly earthy notes. Really nice. Subtle and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, from Clarkes, Whitby.)
