Cask at Raven, Crewe. Pours almost black with a medium sized tan head and good lacing. Not much of an aroma at first, but a nutty aura does gradually make itself known. In the mouth is is quite seet and smooth with a creamy texture. Flavour has lactose, roasted malts, hazelnuts and cocoa. This is quite nice if a little sweet. Hides its strength very well too.

10/12/2022. Can shared with ITFCDan. From Beer Central, Sheffield. Pours very dark brown almost black with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, nut, light roasted malt, dark fruits, coffee and berries. Medium sweetness, moderate roasted bitterness, touch of berry tart. Moderate body, slightly watery, bit above average carbonation. Pretty good, but a little too watery and fizzed.

Black with quick fading head. Loads of hazelnut, luckily the overall sweetness is just tempered enough to make it drinkable. A little roasted bitterness rounds it off well.

440ml can from the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived, frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty malt, hazelnut, light caramel. The flavour is moderate to light sweet, with a smooth, rich, roasty, milky lactose, light chocolate, light vanilla palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Hazy brown beer, decent head. Nutty, malty, a bit of chocolate and sugar and a decent body to it with a light nutty finish. Very drinkable.
