Can from Wine Rack, Weybridge. First time I've seen it in singles. Aroma is sweet - caramel, dark fruit and nuts - alongside booze and veg soup. Clear dark amber. Thick fluffy foamy off-white head. Sweet and fruity. Sugary. Sour edge. Some bitterness. Booze and berries. This duo gains momentum. Medium bodied. Verging on oily. Soft carbonation with a gentle fizz. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice enough without the warming embrace of a stronger bolder Barley Wine.

Rocky white head stayed on a clear chestnut coloured body. Malt & syrupy aroma. Medium to full bodied, smooth, soft & sickly. Malt, caramel, over stewed fruit, citrus, & pithy tastes with a long bitter finish. As a Barley Wine it's not bad.

330ml can. Pours clear amber-brown, good sized white head, plenty of retention. Aroma of caramel malts, a little fruity hop. Taste is chewy caramel malts, resin, corn, but all a bit stale. Alcohol is very noticeable in the finish but has a nice strongish bitterness. A bit mixed.
