Amarillo is brewed according to the new American tradional Imperial or Double IPA's. Sweet malty backbone accompanied by strong flavoured hops that give a citrus aroma and flavour. Flavour indication: fruity, malty, citrus, light grassy.

Tap at the brewery. Amber color with thick creamy whitr head, lasting. Pungent smell with lots of hops resin. Taste of cookies, nuts, dried fruit, molasses, cream, cake. Thick body and potent taste, sticky grains and intense bitterness. Creamy texture, smooth bitter finish.

V sokolovni. Cgmelova vyrazna silna vona. Medova farba. Chut vyrazna alkoholova na konci moc silna.

330ml bottle. Pours murky orange brown with little head. Caramel, peach syrup, orange, pine needles, resinous, grapefruit juice, lots of caramel. Good body, low carbonation and a thick smooth body. Nice.

ondoorzichtig gouden met volle witte kraag, te hoog op koolzuur tijdens het schenken. Aroma van sinaasappel, mout, gist, en zoet. Smaken van sinaasappel, alcohol, hop, mout, matig zoet, glad, fruitig, sinaasappel overheerst, medium body, teveel co2.

Light copper, slightly hazy. Average sized white head, ok retention and lacing. Nice aroma shows a crackery malts backbone, citric notes and a refreshing feel that stands in the middle of grassy and piney. Quite simple, but clean and vivid. Very much the same in taste, with the slightest bit of spiciness. Medium to high sweet and medium to high bitter, overall well balanced with a dry bitter finish. Alcohol is very well hidden. Medium bodied, nicely smooth for the abv, with average carbonation. Wasn't super fresh but held very well. A nice iipa.

Tap (Stu Mostów, Wrocław). Full of sweet tropical fruits notes, a lot of hops, medium to high bitterness, light in feeling, tasty in overall.

Pours light copper, a lot of head, not very good retention though. Aroma is malty and sweet, a lot of herbal-resiny hops. The west coast hops is really prominent. Big body. Flavour is also dominated by west coast hops (Amarillo if course): a lot of resinous pine and herbal spiciness. Supported by a big malt backbone. Like all de molen beers this is rather sweet, but not cloyingly so; it works with the hoppiness. Classic west coast Imperial IPA, almost a tad too sweet but still very nice. Finishes bittersweet, hoppy.

33 cl. bottle @ home,bought @ W. van Schaik, Vianen. Hazy amber with a white head. Hoppy aroma with some tropical fruit. Bitter and malty taste. 8 months old is maybe a bit too old for these kind of beers, it was more malty than hoppy, but this still was an enjoyable beer.

Flesje. Lekker hopig aroma. Tegenvallend: goede amber kleur, maar veel gistvlokken in het glas (toch staand bewaard en voorzichtig geschonken). Smaak is wel weer prima.
