Bottle split on the train to Windsor with the Wingman, from ABM, 17/03/15. Orange amber with a big old cream covering. Nose is pineapple jus, malt, tropcial fruit medley, straw, candied fruit rinds, all about the pineapple though! Taste compriss sticky orange, mango, pineapple, straw, caramel malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, juicy hop bitterness in the close. Decent enough DIPA if a touch sweet and rather a one trick pony with the pineapple flavour pulseing through it! Ok stuff, drinks below the ABV.

tap at Beergeek Bar, Prague on 28/12/2014. dark orange clear color, white head. smells of sweet fruits, pears, apple, figs, apricot. full body, very slick on the tongue, tastes fruity, light grapefruit, dried apricot, raisins, quite sweet but the full body and the medium bitterness makes this very pleasant.

Bottled on 10/12/12. Orange color with small head. Super sweet citrus fruit. Taste is both sweet, bitter, white-viney. Boozy towards the end. This is fantastic.

0,33 bottle purchased in Greece from the Hoppy Imports and consumed in Kosovo. The bottle says it was bottled 06/01/2014, 11 months old. It pours a cloudy copper colour with a medium tick beige head. Nose: typical De Molen feel with caramel, sweet notes, molasse of cherries, alcohol and a residual grassy note. Mouth: not what you actually expect from a DIPA but truly good. round feel of cherries, red soft fruits a hint of syrup but really fresh. The final is nice with a grassy strike to clean the mouth. Peculiar.

A hazed murky amber DIPA with a thin lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light cherry notes, light acidity, light off notes, grassy hops, strange. In mouth, a sweet fruity caramel malt with strong cherry notes, a strange acidity, surranated hops, light band aid, infected? On tap at St Bock.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 14C). Bottle 33 cl - Bottled on 01/05/14. AROMA: medium/low fruity and floral aromas, balanced with a sweet malt profile. very prominent alcohol aroma but it isnt hot. APPEARANCE: deep golden/orangeish color and very hazy (dry hopped). good off white moussy head with good retention and alcohol derived viscosity. TASTE: sweet malty profile balanced with floral and slight fruity notes. high bitterness that lingers well beyond a medium-dry aftertaste. clean and smooth alcohol background without solventy character. PALATE: smooth medium body with a smooth warming alcohol profile. medium carbonation. OVERALL: although a nice IPA, its very high residual sweetness isnt characteristic of an imperial/double IPA.

Bottle @ De Paas, Den Haag. Hazy amber colour, beige creamy foam. Sweet aroma taste with hoppy bitter finish. Warming alcoholic finish. Not easy drinkable. A good sipper!
