Amber, fast fading white head. Balanced nose & palate, lightly fruity. More of a Pale than an IPA

Poured from 473mL can (stamped 04/2023). Clear gold with white head. Quite malty, pine hops, very feint hint of diacetyl. Quite old school in style. Okay.

Draught at the brewpub; 7.5% ABVC
Golden colour, clean, actually lighter than their Pale Ale. Faint aroma of fruity hops. Gentle mouthfeel; without the caramel of the other beers, the pale malt offers some mild, mellow flavour, the hopping is mediocre, with enough bitterness, but very little fruity character. Oh, and there are traces of butter... it doesn't put me off, but it's a flaw.

Light body. Off-dry. Piney, citrusy hop notes. But also a fair bit of crackery pale malt. Probably their best beer, kind of like a throwback IPA, really, but nothing off about it.

Has good foam on a clear medium copper body. Smells of bright hops, semi-candyish but still restrained. Flavour is good malt character but nothing else. Mouthfeel is full and there's nice oiliness. A decent IPA.
