On tap. Pours a deep reddish brown with light head. Dull aromas of sweet metallic malts; maybe a bit if fruit. Flavors of sugary raisins, copper and toasted malts. Hmmm... not sure the intent.

Amber-brown colour .Medium head. Toasty, quite sweet, and there's some bubblegum in there as well. These are not happy flaws.

On tap at Barnside, pours an opaque dark amber brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and toasted nuts. Flavour is fairly subdued, with toasted bready malt and a hint of toasted nuts. Bready and dry. Meh.

Has okay foam on a cloudy brown body, faint malt aroma. Flavour is all chunky biscuit and not overly sweet with good malt character. Mouthfeel has good carbonation but seems a little thin for a brown ale. Nonetheless it's still very clean and drinkable.
