Our Bonito blonde ale is inspired by our perma-sunny days. This brew draws you in with its golden color and soft malt character, while the light mouthfeel and dry finish keeps you coming back. And what would set a San Diego blonde apart? A subtle hint of hops, naturally.

12 ounce can from Binny's Champaign. Slightly hazy golden, large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of bready malt, grain, tropical fruit. The taste is tropical fruit, grainy malt. Thin bodied, juicy. Started off a good beer but just falls off lacking. Meh.

Flaska från SB. Ganska enkel och standard blonde som går ner lätt. Spannmål, lite brödigt och honung. Ingen direkt beska att tala om. God bruksöl.

About as nondescript as you can get with a blonde ale. Grainy cereal malts meet a grassy middle and floral, mild hops on the finish. Slight green apple notes pop up in the fade, while a clingy bitterness keeps things from approaching macro territory. Pretty gold pour with a mild head and moderate lace. Sparkly blonde ale texture is fitting. Forgettable as beer can be.

Bottle. A bright, clear golden color with a quick-to-fade white head. Light aroma is sweet, toasty and cereal grains, light florals, and grass, just a hint of corn syrup. Taste is mild up front and rather sweet before finishing with a clean grassy crisp end. Ever so slightly bitter. A touch of the bitterness lingers with some malts. Drank pretty good.

Bottle Golden with an off-white head. Light pale malts somewhat pilsnerish. Decent hop bite. Pretty bold and sharp for a blonde. Refreshing and clean

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 3/8/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, lightly toasted white bread, lemon, pear, apple, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of cracker, lightly toasted white bread, lemon, pear, apple, herbal, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/grassy/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of cracker, lightly toasted white bread, lemon, pear, apple, herbal, pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and light body; with a very smooth, crisp, clean, and moderately grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.5%. Overall this is a very nice American blonde ale. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink. Just a tad too bitter/drying for the style, it hits all the right notes in all other areas. A very enjoyable offering.
