Brewed with extra hops and malt in the English tradition, but with West Coast style. This deep golden India Pale Ale is artfully balanced with a fresh, powerful aroma and a luscious finish.

Small but dense yellowish head, fast gone; unclear red-amber beer. Fresh hops, hopbales, orangezest, orangemarmalade, light brown tea (with orange blossom). Hops, bitter hops, very noble hops. Vegetable flavour and some cookie malt, sugar syrup traces. Long bitterish aftertaste, dry, and nearly dry-out effect. Medium bodied. Good IPA, not unbalanced, but it is a bit onedimensional.

Thanks to droopy49 for this one! A hazy orange/amber body under a huge, creamy, off-white head. Light malt and citrus hop aroma. Very fruity. Moderately bitter with a good malt support. Smooth medium body. I could drink a bunch of these.

Hazy bronze with a small tan head, Floral hoppy nose, and a piney citrusy hop body close with a pleasantly bitter finish. Great!

Dark amber colour, bright. Bright foresty hop aroma with pearlike esters and a rich caramel malt backdrop. Moderate bitterness, though the finish is kind of sweet and pale malts let you off the hook a bit following a bit of woody hop and toasted breadcrust.

Hazy blood-orange body, quite unusual and dramatic, with a medium/thin off-white head. Heavy hops nose with sugared grapefruit rind, toast, and burnt caramels. Nice toasty, bready body with moderate-strong grapefruit and pine hops, but nothing overpowering or offensive. Lingering bitter rindy aftertaste. A full-bodied and tasty treat that would pass as an I2PA for many brewers. Many thanks, fordest!

Red copper ale with a thin off white head. Grapefruity aroma of hops with honey notes. Good malt sweetness and floral hops with nice lingering hops. Very classic IPA, very satisfying!

Cloudy amber colour with a fairly dense off-white head comprised of small bubbles. Aroma very potent with grapefruity hops being the most evident then fading toward citrus and even a hint of pineapple. Very nice aroma-literally mouth-watering! Medium-bodied; Sweet mouthful with the background notes more sugary than hoppy. Tastes of fake sugars (saccharin, aspartame, etc) then some subtle hoppiness toward the finish. Aftertaste a bit bittered from the hops, but not as much as I would like. Overall, a bit out of balance for the style...but all-around a decent IPA! Worth trying, i'm lucky to get my 12 ounce bottle in a trade from rodolito...thanks Dave! :-) I sampled this beer on 10-September-2003
