Stone Fruit + Passionfruit + Light Bitterness

Turns out most people love an easy drinking, not so bitter, hoppy IPA as the Wellingtonian is easily our most popular beer. Boasting stone fruit, passionfruit and a touch of resiny pine on a sweeter malt base with enough bitterness to balance it all out without overwhelming the palate.

Malts: American Ale, Gladiator, Light Crystal
Hops: Wai-iti, Chinook, Nelson Sauvin

330ml can from School of Animals, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy medium amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is dank resin hops. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a sweet biscuit malt, light resin, light herbal, earthy, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Sampled at the brewpub, pours a clear, dark orange with a ring of white head.  Nose is mild, malt, orange, some persimmon.  Flavor is mild, malt and grains, some toffee notes, orange, tea.  Finishes medium bodied.  6 3 6 3 11

Deep brown orange body and weak foam, huge sugary hops on the nose. Flavour is an odd mix of vegetable hops, sugar, and oily notes. Full enough on the mouth. Seems too heavy and overbearing, no finesse, like cabbage dumped in sugar.
