Rather than a full wheat ale we brought you a German style Kolsch made with 25% wheat malt. Light bodied but very flavourful, slight sweetness and oh so easy to drink. No lemons needed!

473 ml can. Just named Kolsch. Pours a hazy gold with big head that settles to nothing immediately. Aromas of sweet grain and corn syrup. Flavors of light citusy wheat and grain.

Aroma of soft sweet sugar. Has a mellow copper body with just a little head. Flavour is mellow lager and nothing else. Okay sugary finish. Nothing to see here, move along.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy blond color. The aroma is mild, with some cereals, and a fruity touch that is usually not found in Cologne Kölsch but that ends up being refreshing. Dry mouthfeel, quite weak; light malt flavor, ordinary bitterness, without hop qualities, and getting lost in the final, when it tastes mostly like a mellow macro Lager and doesn’t invite to drink more of it.
One of the most difficult styles to brew, and this one doesn’t nail it.

On tap at Off the Rail, pours a hazy dull blonde with a small white head. Aroma is light, with toasted grains and cereal malt. Flavour is on the sweet side due to the cereal malt upfront, with straw and biscuity notes. Clean and drinkable. Standard kolsch.
