Clear blond colour, white foam. Nose of cow fodder, stable. Taste is malty, some sweetness, irony. Not very nice.

Bottle in Dusseldorf. Crisp, clean, bright. Doughy. Clean, medium bodied. Excellent balance, classic flavors. Completely sessionable. Leagues above most US lagers. OK.

Im Glas findet sich ein klares kräftiges Goldgelb wieder. Ansehnsiche feine Perlage bahnt sich rasch ihren Weg nach oben. Die weiße, feinporige Schaumkrone wirkt fast cremig, zeigt sich dabei stabil und sehr gut haltbar. In der Nase absolut zurückhaltend und praktisch nicht wahrnehmbar. Dabei Aromen wahrzunehmen ist nahezu unmöglich - lediglich eine ganz zartes Getreide lässt sich erahnen. Der Antrunk kommt angenehm spritzig, wirkt frisch, leicht getreidig und lässt ein zart gehopftes Bier erwarten. Am Gaumen kommt einem eine durchaus passable Aromatik entgegen. Getreidiges Malz mit leichtem Karamellanklang. Eine passende Würze fügt sich dabei gut ein. Die zarte Hopfung, die man anfangs erwartet hat, bestätigt sich und es ergibt sich ein ganz unkompliziertes, aber dennoch rundes und gut trinkbares Bier. Der Körper wirkt durchaus okay und die Süffigkeit ist soweit auch in Ordnung. Im Nachtrunk flacht die Aromatik leider sehr rasch ab und eine trockene, heuige bis aschige Hopfenaromatik stellt sich ein. Fazit: Sehr einfach, aber nicht schlecht und besser als sein Ruf.

From bottle. Mostly grainy, butter, hay, carboard. Typical Export malt sweetness, slightly dry. Medium bodied, watery oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, mild dry finish. Dull but acceptable for what it is.

Can 50 cl. Golden, clear, snow-white foam. Aroma: malt, light malt, candy, a little hop. Malty taste, a little cardboard, candy, a little bitterness, so-so.

0,5 l bottle. Clear golden with a more than one finger white head. Low grainy caramel smell. Taste is flat grainy, cardboardy, very shy bitterness. Nothing special, but hey, not as bad as reported and expected.
