We first released this decidedly indelicate beer in 2012 as Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our beloved bitter Stone Ruination IPA. Stone RuinTen Triple IPA uses the same recklessly hoppy recipe as the 2012 release; only the name has been changed to include “Triple,” which helps describe the over-the-top hop profile and elevated alcohol by volume. We packed a whopping five pounds of hops into each barrel, and cranked up the ABV to stand up to the hop onslaught. The results are glorious, and we know you’ll rejoice in tasting this audacious gem of hoppy splendor. You’re welcome. Again.
This was one of the team’s favorite IPAs, so we were thrilled to have the opportunity to brew it again. The combination of Citra and Centennial in the dry hop is magical. Please drink this beer FRESH to get the full impact of the hopping!

Blik gedeeld door Roelzie. Het is een licht troebel goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige wat harsige geur. De smaak is vol, hoppig, fruitig en harsig.

[12oz can from Beer52.] A bright copper coloured pour with a long lasting white head; rich piney aroma; thick in the mouth with caramel malts and a resinous coating on the tongue; the bitterness is strong and lasting, but not overwhelming. A brute of an IPA.

Can via Pivny raj. Intensely oxidized caramelly aroma. That is not replicated in flavour, because it is absolutely horribly drenched in alcohol and hops. And I do not mean this in a good way unfortunately. There is a moderate burning warmth, combined with very high bitterness, a lot of hop burn. Those synergistically produce a very unbalanced and hard to drink beer. I feel the ABV coming to my head as I am writing this and I mean this literally. Is that a good thing? Yes for some people. Me personally, I feel sad about the hops abuse going on here, there is very little in terms of aromatics. Just resiny grassy taste, but finally the heavy oxidation is circling back in the finish, reminding me what killed all the good that might have been here originally. All in all - not enjoyable, not good.

Creamy off white head stayed on a deep amber coloured body. Pine, malt & resin aroma - just like Hardcore IPA. Medium to full bodied, greasy, light carbonation & cloying on the back. Malt, pine, resin, bitter, orange & marmalade tastes with an extremely hopped up pithy finish. Brutal - Love it.

Can. Color: Hazy amber, yellow-ish off-white head. Aroma: Hoppy, caramel. Taste: Caramel malt, very nice floral hopbitterness, light hints of citrus. Moderate sweet, over moderate bitterness going to over medium bitterness at long lasting dry-ish finish. Nice 'old skool' West Coast styke TIPA.
