Bottle from the Jao Hostel, Chiang Mai. Poured a clear dark brown with a long lasting frothy off white head. The aroma is roasty malt, dry smoke, creamy caramel, toffee. The flavour is moderate sweet with a dry malt, creamy liquorice, hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Draft at Tres Bonne Cuisine. Dark brown, some light peeking through, fluffy beige head. Roast grain, musty aroma. Taste also reflects the roast grains. Some chocolaty notes in the back. Smooth, enjoyable.

Bottle at Pivovarsky Klub. Dark reddish brown with slightly off white head. Malty aroma with huge amounts of toffee and some hazelnut. Slightly iron/metallic taste with toffee, caramel and nuts. Very light.

Bottle with expiry date 24.03.2017. Aroma is lots of caramel, some milk chocolate. Surprisingly similar to Obolon kvass - does not taste like a beer. Medium sweetness, not bitter. Below average. Previous rating from 1 February 2016: Bottle. Black colour, nice head. Aroma is mild, roasted, coffee. Light bitterness. Medium body. Good! 4/4/5/3/16=3.2

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear dark brown color with large soapy tan-like head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of cereals, caramel, mild roasted malt and grass. Taste starts light sweet grainy with caramel, follows mild roasted and grassy with dry mouth feel and mild bitter finish. Light to medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. On tap at tres bonne. Pours out a cola color with some ruby red highlights topped with a sandy tan head nose is sweet caramel malt some light toasted grain a little earthy hop. Taste is more of the caramel sweetness rich malts a touch of hops and plenty of dark roast.

Deep brown, ruby highlights. Huge creamy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma of candy, toast, roasted malt, minimal acidity. Light body. Thin texture. The flavour is rich malty. Toast, dark fruit, a bit of roast. Minimal acidity again. Low bitterness. Aroma & taste are pleasant but the palate is bad.
