325 mL bottle picked up in town to break up the redundant chain of Corona available at the Hard Rock resort. Listed at an even more modest 3.4%. Can't complain about a light beer in this heat. High active carb, shiny golden pour that settles to a glass of apple juice like appearance. Soft corn notes on the aroma and flavor, but really not enough of either for this to become offensive. It's refreshing in the right circumstances, which is most times down here in Mexico. Most memorable part of this beer was bringing a couple back to the resort and reporting the good news to the guys that we get to try something different. Long cheers to that.

A very light pale lager, with a slightly sour grainy note, hardly any bitterness, and a quick, sourish finish. Not among the better ones in Mexico, as I can tell, because it doesn’t offer any reason to drink it, other than a cool bottle.

Bottled 325ml. -Cute chubby bottle but famous Central/South American macro signature remains the same. Clear yellow coloured, small white head, touch of cereals in the nose. Weak malty, corn and light notes of cereals with short finish. Watery, flat and harmless. Again just like all those "tasty" macros I’ve "enjoyed" for three weeks earlier this year in Brazil.

Okay look with bleached white head and a bright yellow body with heavy carbonation. Heavy aroma of skunked cabbage and nothing else. Flavour is a weak mix of lemon and cardboard. Wet mouthfeel. It would be hard to do much worse than this.

Bottle 32,5 cl. Courtesy of Theis. Pours a clear yellow with a small white head. Sweet aroma of brewing cereal. Light body, skunky unclean brewing cereal, rather tart. Phenollic. Ends dry. Heavy carbonation. Poor. 250711

Bottled. A light yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of malt and a bit of straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and some metal, leading to a dry finish. Thanks Theis for sharing.

Bottle as shown. Pours a clear gold with small frothy white head. The aroma is corn malt. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet malt and wheat. Easy to drink, a decent pale lager.

Grenade bottle thanks to LtDan. The last pale lager of 2010. Pours with a clear pale golden body with a white head that fades in about five to seven seconds. Aroma of corn, cardboard, sharply husky and metallic. A little bit minerally and salty maybe. Smells like an unskunked Corona or Pacifico. Very generic Mexican lager (maybe less offensive than some). Flavor is very watery. Very, very watery! Corn. No sweetness. No bitterness. Some mineral water mineral qualities. Less fizzy than most pale lagers. Pretty bland. Very thin.

Crystal clear coloured body with a nice soapy white head on top that fades fast. Aroma of malt, cardboard, lemons, metal and a tiny amount of hops. Light-bodied; Strong Metal flavour taste with malt and cardboard also noticeable. Not much more flavours in the aftertaste, just more of the same. Overall, an alright lager - not much going on with it, but I did want to try it anyways! I sampled this 325 mL bottle purchased from 7-11 in Ciudad de Mexico (Mexico City), Meico on 04-May-2007.
